Answers to common questions about the 10 Minute Workout System

As soon as you want and as many times as you want.

I recommend that you view each workout before you try it the first time.  Every rep counts in my routines so you want to be familiar with what you're about to do.  I do give audio prompts to help you along and (as with any workout) it'll be easier to follow every time you repeat the workout.

There are several different kinds of workouts that are divided into different categories.  I use equipment in some of the routines and no equipment in others.  

There's a workout description with each routine that will tell you what equipment you'll need to do the routine.


My 10-minute workouts are designed with any exerciser in mind.

You can modify each workout to be more intense (add reps, make the moves bigger or use heavier weights) or less intense (go slower, make the moves smaller or use lighter weights).

As with any exercise routine, rest when you need it.  Only you know if you need a break.  You can injure yourself with any workout no matter how long or short it is.  Be smart and listen to your body.

There's no complicated or complex choreography involved in any of the workouts.

You'll need basic coordination to do the workouts but no more than you'd expect from any workout.

I haven't invented any new style of exercise or moves to do the workouts in the 10 Minute Workout System.  I want any woman to feel like they can hit play and do every rep in each routine.

I don't know the answer to that. Every person and their bodies is unique.

Please exercise smart and always consult a medical provider before you begin this (or any) exercise program--especially if you've had a prior injury, chronic or recent illness or don't feel 100%.

The All Access membership level is very similar to other programs.  

The beauty of exercise on demand is the convenience of having a library of workouts in one place and being able to stream them from wherever you're at.

The VIP All Access and VIP Plus Membership levels are unique from other on demand services.  In those membership levels you have direct access to me and others (with the same questions and on the same fitness journey) in the Facebook group.  Having a community with similar goals is a valuable and unique aspect of the 10 Minute Workout System and has been proven to make success more likely in whatever you're trying to accomplish.


My knowledge and experience as a former personal trainer and lifelong exerciser has helped me create this workout system. However, the memberships are designed for you to work at your own pace.  You're not hiring me to be your personal trainer.

But please ask me any questions you might have about the workouts and I'll do my very best to help you stay on track and get the most out of your membership.

The answer to this question will depend on the type of exercise routine you currently do but, in general, if you already have an exercise program, then the 10 Minute Workout System can be used to supplement that.

For example, if you're used to doing long workouts and aren't looking to take a day off, then the 10 Minute Workout library is a great way to 'get your sweat' on and still give your body a break from a longer extreme workout.

Also, if your normal exercise routine is getting pushed to the back burner because life is so busy right now, then the 10 Minute Workout System is a great way to stay in shape and work around your current schedule on days when your longer workouts aren't possible.

Hi there! I'm Mickie, the founder and owner of One Strong Southern Girl LLC and the 10 Minute Workout System.

I have a thriving women's fitness blog, host the Crunches and Cosmos podcast and run the One Strong Southern Girl online shop that sells the number one design of aerobic steps on the market today.

I'm a 20-year licensed and certified Physician Assistant, former personal trainer, lifelong tomboy as well as a wife, mom and sister.  Over the last 10 years I’ve used home exercise to train and complete 2 Tough Mudders and a Spartan Sprint as well as other obstacle races and running events.
